Law firm advertising campaign

studio session

When Razavi Law Group launched a major advertising campaign across Orange County, every image needed to hold up at billboard scale, on public buses, on press, and on screen.

A modern Orange County law firm with a growing brand needed a studio session that could anchor a full advertising campaign. The images had to work at every size, across every channel, with the managing attorney as the face of the firm.

Client snapshot

Razavi Law Group is a modern, fast-growing law firm based in Orange County, founded and led by Ali Razavi, Esq. The firm is well known for its success and has built a strong and recognizable presence across Southern California.

Images from this session were used across the firm's website, LinkedIn, press, billboards, and public bus advertising throughout Orange County. Ali Razavi is the face of the brand, with the full attorney team supporting the campaign's visual identity.

What triggered the project

The firm was launching a major advertising campaign across Orange County and needed a complete set of professional images that could anchor every channel from the website to billboard scale.

This was not a standard headshot session. The images needed to work at every size and across every format, which meant the technical requirements going into the shoot were significantly more demanding than a typical law firm portrait session.

The real problem

A photo that looks polished on a website does not automatically hold up on a billboard. File size, resolution, lighting setup, and lens choice all affect how an image performs at large format print scale. Get any of those wrong and the campaign materials look unprofessional at the exact moment the firm is trying to make the strongest possible impression.

When your face is on the side of a public bus across Orange County, the image has to be technically right before it ever goes to production. There is no fixing it after the fact.

At the same time, the firm needed a clean, modern aesthetic consistent with their brand identity. The images needed to feel fresh and confident, not like a standard legal portrait.

What made it complex

The shoot had to serve two audiences simultaneously. The clean studio look needed to feel authoritative enough for press and legal directories, and bold and eye-catching enough to stop traffic on a billboard.

Ali Razavi is the primary face of the brand, which meant his session required additional attention to lighting, positioning, and consistency across multiple looks. Every image of the managing attorney needed to be campaign-ready, not just website-ready.

The session was also time-sensitive. The advertising campaign had a production timeline, and the photography had to be delivered at the right file specifications, cropped correctly, and ready to go straight into the hands of the production team without additional processing on their end.

How it was handled

The session took place at Christopher Todd Studios with professional backdrops and lighting configured specifically for large-format advertising output. File specifications for billboard and transit advertising were confirmed before the shoot began, so the images were captured at the correct resolution from the start.

The marketing coordinator managed communications on the firm's side. Every attorney arrived camera-ready, including hair and makeup, which allowed the session to move efficiently without time lost to preparation on the day. Scheduling was built around the firm's availability and confirmed well in advance so the full team could be present on a single date.

The studio setup used a consistent background, matching crop, and uniform lighting across all five attorneys, so the full team looked cohesive across every channel the images ran on. Ali Razavi's session included additional looks and lighting setups to support his role as the primary face of the campaign.

The result

20 images delivered per attorney, all color-corrected and production-ready, within 48 hours of the shoot. Every file was delivered at the correct specification for billboard, transit, web, and press use without the production team needing to request adjustments.

Images ran across the firm's website, LinkedIn, press features, billboards, and public bus advertising throughout Orange County and Southern California. The campaign launched on schedule.

Razavi Law Group is a repeat client. Christopher Todd Studios photographs new campaigns, new attorney additions, and magazine cover appearances as the firm continues to grow its presence across the region.
